Autumn


the mellow season in Kolkata is not really mellow...

ahh winter...

I'm back ... and school's over by the way

So I'd been busy studying all through December to March (and it did pay off; allow me to boast...I scored a whooping 95.5% in finals), lazied around all April and busy applying for colleges now in May....

School days are over and this is uncanny for me. Things have to move on, they say...


And it got me thinking... about

moving on,
change,
cycles
....and I feel this to be the perfect time to post a series I did last year.

Seasons


Spring
although pretty short-lived here in India and connected to final exams through all 13 years of school, I love the season...


Summer
In India it'd be a crime to compare your lover (or you enemy for that matter) to a summer's day... therefore, to personify summer I chose a generalized, universal, Shakespearean summer.

Monsoons


Monsoons mean a lot to me...somehow raindrops, gray clouds always go with memories and nostalgia....

Unbalanced

I don't know what to call this style....silent comic book form maybe? Hehe...

Pim saw everything in a blur after the Ferris wheel and roller-coaster rides at the fair.

I tried out this new whimsical brush strokes, but i guess it turned out to be messy. Looks like my drawing itself is a blur!!!

Frozen

Mrs. Fox wants this memory frozen in her heart forever... the camera shall keep it frozen in a frame in their living room as well...

Flying

On a hot day(and I mean 38 degrees Celsius) a lick of my favourite orange ice-lolly just sends me flying off the ground.

Funny thing, last week I had even commented to my mum that "This is like flying... so refreshing" while having a lolly!!

So for me, this seemed the immediate response to this week's prompt.

With Pattern, two things immediately came to mind: animal pattern in nature and nursery craft classes... the result: a lady's finger print pattern peacock.


Peacocks are amazing and the flowery pattern of lady's finger seemed right to go with the feathers. For the background sky, I used a piece of sponge...
